Background
I have previously passed basic training in the British Army reserves, serving as part of 101 FS BN REME. I currenrtly have family members and friends serving in the British armed forces leading to an interest in this topic. I have a background in research having undertaken work at the Centre for Housing Policy in 2014.
Employment Transitions for UK Veterans
Employment transitions for British Army Veterans are poorly understood. This project aims to improve knowledge and insight into the barriers and opportunities for service members leaving the forces.
To gain this understanding I am looking to conduct short phone interviews with ex-service members from the British Army. If you are a veteran and would like to take part, please get in touch using the contact details below.
Informed Consent Sheet for participants
This research is part of a dissertation piece for research at the University of York.
Questions in the interview will be related to veterans experiences of moving into civilian employment. Themes will include: support from the British Army, support from fellow veterans and coping with the change in working environment.
All data will be made anonymous in the final report to comply with data protection laws.
