Background and information

This research aims to provide insight into British Army Veteran's transitions into civilian employment. To gain greater understanding I will be interviewing ex-service members on their experiences. The questions will be focused on a number of key themes including support offered by the Army during and after service. Other themes will include coping with the change of working environment and also what barriers or benefits are created by serving in the military in terms of transitions.

There is currently very little research in this field. The interviews will be used to develop a 10,000 word document for an undergraduate dissertation at the University of York. The research will also be shared with organisations and agencies who work with veterans looking for work, to help improve practices and understanding.
